Of note, this variant is predicted to strongly active a cryptic donor site within exon 1 based on available splicing prediction programs (Alamut Visual v2.11). However, such computer prediction programs are imperfect. At this time, the clinical significance of this variant is uncertain due to the absence of conclusive functional and genetic evidence. -
