The p.A1602G variant (also known as c.4805C>G), located in coding exon 22 of the DICER1 gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 4805. The alanine at codon 1602 is replaced by glycine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
DICER1-related disorder Benign:1
This variant is classified as likely benign based on ACMG/AMP sequence variant interpretation guidelines (Richards et al. 2015 PMID: 25741868, with internal and published modifications). -
DICER1-related tumor predisposition Benign:1
