In silico analysis supports that this missense variant does not alter protein structure/function; Has not been previously published as pathogenic or benign to our knowledge; This variant is associated with the following publications: (PMID: 18466115) -
Hereditary cancer-predisposing syndrome Uncertain:1
The p.D872H variant (also known as c.2614G>C), located in coding exon 18 of the TSC1 gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 2614. The aspartic acid at codon 872 is replaced by histidine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is well conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
