Achromatopsia 3 Pathogenic:1

not provided Pathogenic:1
This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). In summary, the currently available evidence indicates that the variant is pathogenic, but additional data are needed to prove that conclusively. Therefore, this variant has been classified as Likely Pathogenic. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 427670). Disruption of the initiator codon has been observed in individual(s) with achromatopsia and/or CNGB3-related conditions (PMID: 28795510, 35119454). In at least one individual the data is consistent with being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. This sequence change affects the initiator methionine of the CNGB3 mRNA. The next in-frame methionine is located at codon 104. -
