However, an additional pathogenic varia nt in LMNA was also identified in that individual. This variant has also been id entified in 1/16624 South Asian chromosomes by the Exome Aggregation Consortium (ExAC, http://exac.broadinstitute.org). Computational prediction tools and conse rvation analysis suggest that the p.Ala397Thr variant may impact the protein, th ough this information is not predictive enough to determine pathogenicity. In su mmary, the clinical significance of the p.Ala397Thr variant is uncertain. - |
