The protein encoded by this gene is a DEAD box protein that is part of a complex that interacts with the C-terminus of RNA polymerase II and is involved in 3' end processing of snRNAs. In addition, this gene is a candidate tumor suppressor and is located in the critical region of loss of heterozygosity (LOH). The c.2359A>G (p.N787D) alteration is located in exon 16 (coding exon 16) of the INTS6 gene. This alteration results from a A to G substitution at nucleotide position 2359, causing the asparagine (N) at amino acid position 787 to be replaced by an aspartic acid (D). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
