Inborn genetic diseases Uncertain:1
The c.82C>T (p.R28C) alteration is located in exon 1 (coding exon 1) of the AFG2B gene. This alteration results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 82, causing the arginine (R) at amino acid position 28 to be replaced by a cysteine (C). Based on data from gnomAD, the T allele has an overall frequency of 0.001% (2/264850) total alleles studied. The highest observed frequency was 0.009% (2/22830) of African alleles. This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. This alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
not provided Uncertain:1
In silico analysis supports that this missense variant has a deleterious effect on protein structure/function; Has not been previously published as pathogenic or benign to our knowledge -
