The p.F1326I variant (also known as c.3976T>A), located in coding exon 20 of the BLM gene, results from a T to A substitution at nucleotide position 3976. The phenylalanine at codon 1326 is replaced by isoleucine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
