The variant was absent in 251350 control chromosomes. c.5861T>C has been reported in the literature in the heterozygous state in individuals affected with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (example, van Minkelen_2014, Frayling_2019), including 1 de novo event. These data indicate that the variant may be associated with disease. To our knowledge, no experimental evidence demonstrating an impact on protein function has been reported.
