The p.V2297L variant (also known as c.6889G>T), located in coding exon 46 of the NF1 gene, results from a G to T substitution at nucleotide position 6889. The valine at codon 2297 is replaced by leucine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species.
