This alteration results from a C to A substitution at nucleotide position 2324, causing the alanine (A) at amino acid position 775 to be replaced by a glutamic acid (E). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -

This sequence change replaces alanine, which is neutral and non-polar, with glutamic acid, which is acidic and polar, at codon 775 of the MYOM1 protein (p.Ala775Glu). This variant is present in population databases (rs765961982, gnomAD 0.005%). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with MYOM1-related conditions. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 454437).
