Thus, by regulating the cellular concentration of cAMP, this protein plays a key role in many important physiological processes. The c.1349T>C (p.M450T) alteration is located in exon 13 (coding exon 12) of the PDE4C gene. This alteration results from a T to C substitution at nucleotide position 1349, causing the methionine (M) at amino acid position 450 to be replaced by a threonine (T). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
