The variant allele was found at a frequency of 1.6e-05 in 250638 control chromosomes (gnomAD). c.4200delC has been reported in the literature in individuals affected with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, Autosomal Recessive (e.g. Yu_2017, Zhong_2021). To our knowledge, no experimental evidence demonstrating an impact on protein function has been reported. The following publications have been ascertained in the context of this evaluation (PMID: 28403181, 34559919). ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 1402261).
