Genes affected
WDR6 (HGNC:12758): (WD repeat domain 6) This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. The encoded protein interacts with serine/threonine kinase 11, and is implicated in cell growth arrest. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Uncertain significance, criteria provided, single submitterclinical testingAmbry GeneticsJan 23, 2024The c.1147G>A (p.A383T) alteration is located in exon 2 (coding exon 2) of the WDR6 gene. This alteration results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 1147, causing the alanine (A) at amino acid position 383 to be replaced by a threonine (T). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
