It is evolutionarily conserved and has related sequences on multiple human chromosomes but DNA sequence analysis did not reveal any homology to known genes. This alteration results from a A to G substitution at nucleotide position 623, causing the asparagine (N) at amino acid position 208 to be replaced by a serine (S). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
