It has also been observed to segregate with disease in related individuals. This variant is present in population databases (rs201948406, ExAC 0.001%). This sequence change affects codon 278 of the ALDH7A1 mRNA. It is a 'silent' change, meaning that it does not change the encoded amino acid sequence of the ALDH7A1 protein. -
