The c.5179G>A (p.E1727K) alteration is located in exon 36 (coding exon 36) of the LAMA2 gene. This alteration results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 5179, causing the glutamic acid (E) at amino acid position 1727 to be replaced by a lysine (K).
