This changes the amino acid from a glutamine to a stop codon within coding exon 10. This alteration and deltaF508 were reported in a German child with cystic fibrosis whose symptoms included pancreatic insufficiency and bronchiectasis (Dork T et al. Hum Genet. 1994 Jan;93(1):67-73).
