The p.S2020C variant (also known as c.6058A>T), located in coding exon 37 of the FLNC gene, results from an A to T substitution at nucleotide position 6058. The serine at codon 2020 is replaced by cysteine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear. -
