Members of this family catalyze hydrolysis of the cyclic nucleotides, cyclic adenosine monophosphate and cyclic guanosine monophosphate, to the corresponding nucleoside 5'-monophosphates. The enzyme encoded by this gene regulates proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells, and neointimal hyperplasia. The c.1511A>G (p.E504G) alteration is located in exon 11 (coding exon 10) of the CCDC129 gene. This alteration results from a A to G substitution at nucleotide position 1511, causing the glutamic acid (E) at amino acid position 504 to be replaced by a glycine (G). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
