The c.1550C>T (p.T517M) alteration is located in exon 9 (coding exon 9) of the WDR34 gene. This alteration results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 1550, causing the threonine (T) at amino acid position 517 to be replaced by a methionine (M). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -

This sequence change replaces threonine, which is neutral and polar, with methionine, which is neutral and non-polar, at codon 517 of the WDR34 protein (p.Thr517Met). This variant is present in population databases (rs770066601, gnomAD 0.03%). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with WDR34-related conditions. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 1681167).
