These subunits play a key role in the plasticity of synapses, which is believed to underlie memory and learning. Cell-specific factors are thought to control expression of different isoforms, possibly contributing to the functional diversity of the subunits. Four of five in-silico tools predict a damaging effect of the variant on protein function. The variant allele was found at a frequency of 8.7e-06 in 228636 control chromosomes. The available data on variant occurrences in the general population are insufficient to allow any conclusion about variant significance. To our knowledge, no occurrence of c.13C>T in individuals affected with Neurodevelopmental Disorder With Or Without Hyperkinetic Movements And Seizures, Autosomal Dominant and no experimental evidence demonstrating its impact on protein function have been reported. No submitters have cited clinical-significance assessments for this variant to ClinVar. Based on the evidence outlined above, the variant was classified as uncertain significance. -
