The protein encoded by this gene is predicted to resemble certain short C-terminal isoforms of dystrophin and dystrophin-related protein 1 (DRP1 or utrophin). This sequence change replaces aspartic acid, which is acidic and polar, with valine, which is neutral and non-polar, at codon 18 of the DRP2 protein (p.Asp18Val). - |
