Alternate splicing results in both coding and non-coding variants. Additional alternately spliced variants have been described but their full-length structure is unknown. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CLCN6-related conditions. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 1421056).
