This substitution occurs at a position that is conserved in mammals; however, Threonine is observed at this position in one other species. In silico analysis predicts that c.-150+4 A>T may damage the natural splice donor site in intron 1, leading to abnormal splicing. However, in the absence of RNA/functional studies the actual effect of this variant is unknown. Therefore, based on the currently available information, it is unclear whether this variant is a pathogenic variant or a rare benign variant. - |
