The c.297G>T variant (also known as p.G99G), located in coding exon 3 of the BMPR1A gene, results from a G to T substitution at nucleotide position 297. This nucleotide substitution does not change the amino acid at codon 99. This nucleotide position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species. In silico splice site analysis predicts that this alteration may result in the creation or strengthening of a novel splice donor site; however, direct evidence is insufficient at this time (Ambry internal data). Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear. -
