Alanine (Al a) at position 109 is not conserved and possibly not present in multiple mammals , and the change to Valine (Val) was predicted to be benign using a computationa l tool clinically validated by our laboratory. This tool's benign interpretation is estimated to be correct 89% of the time (Jordan 2011). In summary, additiona l studies are needed to fully assess its clinical significance. - |
