Inborn genetic diseases Uncertain:1
The c.619G>T (p.G207C) alteration is located in exon 6 (coding exon 6) of the CABP2 gene. This alteration results from a G to T substitution at nucleotide position 619, causing the glycine (G) at amino acid position 207 to be replaced by a cysteine (C). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
not provided Uncertain:1
This sequence change replaces glycine with cysteine at codon 207 of the CABP2 protein (p.Gly207Cys). The glycine residue is highly conserved and there is a large physicochemical difference between glycine and cysteine. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CABP2-related conditions. Algorithms developed to predict the effect of missense changes on protein structure and function (SIFT, PolyPhen-2, Align-GVGD) all suggest that this variant is likely to be disruptive. In summary, the available evidence is currently insufficient to determine the role of this variant in disease. Therefore, it has been classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance. -
