This variant has been reported in two individuals affected with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (PMID: 11748309, 24111713); one of these individuals carried a second compound heterozygous intronic MYL2 variant that segregated with disease in the family (PMID: 11748309). This variant has been identified in 1/251494 chromosomes in the general population by the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD).
