The p.M904I variant (also known as c.2712G>C), located in coding exon 26 of the RB1 gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 2712. The methionine at codon 904 is replaced by isoleucine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
