This alteration results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 2305, causing the proline (P) at amino acid position 769 to be replaced by a serine (S). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -

This sequence change replaces proline with serine at codon 769 of the CDH3 protein (p.Pro769Ser). The proline residue is highly conserved and there is a moderate physicochemical difference between proline and serine. This variant is present in population databases (rs775268226, ExAC 0.02%).
