This variant co-occurred with a variant in the FBN1 gene in an individual with adolescent scoliosis and other systemic features, but who did not meet Marfan syndrome diagnostic criteria (Buchan JG et al. Hum Mol Genet, 2014 Oct;23:5271-82). This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis.
