This missense variant replaces valine with methionine at codon 312 of the APC protein. The p.V312M variant (also known as c.934G>A) is located in coding exon 9 of the APC gene. The valine at codon 312 is replaced by methionine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This change occurs in the first base pair of coding exon 9. This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species.
