This sequence change replaces glutamic acid, which is acidic and polar, with lysine, which is basic and polar, at codon 1201 of the COL1A2 protein (p.Glu1201Lys). This variant is present in population databases (rs72659343, gnomAD 0.01%). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with COL1A2-related conditions.
