This sequence change replaces arginine, which is basic and polar, with histidine, which is basic and polar, at codon 158 of the GAMT protein (p.Arg158His). This variant is present in population databases (rs750195151, gnomAD 0.004%). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with GAMT-related conditions. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 478015).
