The encoded protein is part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and contains a predicted leucine zipper motif typical of many transcription factors. The c.3601G>A (p.A1201T) alteration is located in exon 28 (coding exon 28) of the SMARCC2 gene. This alteration results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 3601, causing the alanine (A) at amino acid position 1201 to be replaced by a threonine (T).
