The p.T674S variant (also known as c.2021C>G), located in coding exon 20 of the KIF1B gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 2021. The threonine at codon 674 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -

This sequence change replaces threonine, which is neutral and polar, with serine, which is neutral and polar, at codon 674 of the KIF1B protein (p.Thr674Ser).
