This sequence change replaces lysine, which is basic and polar, with arginine, which is basic and polar, at codon 7055 of the SYNE1 protein (p.Lys7055Arg). This variant is present in population databases (rs145882956, gnomAD 0.03%). This missense change has been observed in individual(s) with clinical features of arthrogryposis (PMID: 31230720).
