This sequence change replaces valine, which is neutral and non-polar, with aspartic acid, which is acidic and polar, at codon 7 of the CNTN1 protein (p.Val7Asp). This variant is present in population databases (no rsID available, gnomAD 0.006%). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CNTN1-related conditions.
