The variant allele was found at a frequency of 8e-05 in 237376 control chromosomes, predominantly at a frequency of 0.00095 within the African or African-American subpopulation in the gnomAD database. To our knowledge, no occurrence of c.786_787delGA in individuals affected with MICU2-Related Disorders and no experimental evidence demonstrating its impact on protein function have been reported. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 917632). Based on the evidence outlined above, the variant was classified as uncertain significance. -
