This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with SYNE2-related disease. This variant is present in population databases (rs543556397, ExAC 0.04%). This sequence change replaces aspartic acid with tyrosine at codon 943 of the SYNE2 protein (p.Asp943Tyr). The aspartic acid residue is weakly conserved and there is a large physicochemical difference between aspartic acid and tyrosine. -
