The c.5213T>C (p.I1738T) alteration is located in exon 37 (coding exon 36) of the MYH11 gene. This alteration results from a T to C substitution at nucleotide position 5213, causing the isoleucine (I) at amino acid position 1738 to be replaced by a threonine (T). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -
This missense variant replaces isoleucine with threonine at codon 1745 of the MYH11 protein. Computational prediction suggests that this variant may have deleterious impact on protein structure and function (internally defined REVEL score threshold >= 0.7, PMID: 27666373).
