The c.1442C>G (p.T481R) alteration is located in exon 10 (coding exon 9) of the MYOM1 gene. This alteration results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 1442, causing the threonine (T) at amino acid position 481 to be replaced by an arginine (R). Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. -

This sequence change replaces threonine with arginine at codon 481 of the MYOM1 protein (p.Thr481Arg). The threonine residue is highly conserved and there is a moderate physicochemical difference between threonine and arginine. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with MYOM1-related conditions. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 239568).
