This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with RAB11B-related conditions. This variant is present in population databases (rs763624059, ExAC 0.02%). This sequence change replaces aspartic acid with glutamic acid at codon 5 of the RAB11B protein (p.Asp5Glu). The aspartic acid residue is highly conserved and there is a small physicochemical difference between aspartic acid and glutamic acid. -
