It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. This alteration results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 889, causing the glutamic acid (E) at amino acid position 297 to be replaced by a lysine (K). This variant was not reported in population-based cohorts in the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD). This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. This alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on insufficient or conflicting evidence, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear. - |
