The variant was absent in 251312 control chromosomes (gnomAD). c.2962C>T has been reported in the literature in an individual affected with Laminin Alpha 2-Related Dystrophy who was compound heterozygous with a structural LAMA2 variant expected to result in a frameshift (Bruels_2022). The following publication has been ascertained in the context of this evaluation (PMID: 35734998). Three submitters have cited clinical-significance assessments for this variant to ClinVar after 2014. All submitters classified the variant as pathogenic/likely pathogenic. Based on the evidence outlined above, the variant was classified as pathogenic. -
