The variant was absent in 244320 control chromosomes. c.1882G>C has been reported in the literature in multiple compound heterozygous individuals affected with Cystic Fibrosis or CBAVD (e.g. Geurts_2020, Claustres_2000). These data indicate that the variant is very likely to be associated with disease. At least one publication reports experimental evidence evaluating an impact on protein function, showing largely reduced current density in CFTR channels (e.g. Billet_2010).
