The members of the Fanconi anemia complementation group do not share sequence similarity; they are related by their assembly into a common nuclear protein complex. This sequence change replaces arginine, which is basic and polar, with histidine, which is basic and polar, at codon 209 of the FANCC protein (p.Arg209His). This variant is present in population databases (rs587778327, gnomAD 0.03%). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with FANCC-related conditions.
