Hereditary cancer-predisposing syndrome Uncertain:1
The p.Y49C variant (also known as c.146A>G), located in coding exon 1 of the PTCH1 gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 146. The tyrosine at codon 49 is replaced by cysteine, an amino acid with highly dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear. -
