The p.Asp1079Gly va riant in OTOGL has not been previously reported in individuals with hearing loss , but has been identified in 0.30% (34/11244) of Latino chromosomes by the Exome Aggregation Consortium (ExAC, http://exac.broadinstitute.org; dbSNP rs12422945) . Computational prediction tools and conservation analyses do not provide strong support for or against an impact to the protein.
